The digitalization of the educational environment in today's society leads, that more and more adolescents are studying online and their socialization, unlike adolescents who study offline, may take place in different ways. We will consider self-control of communication, awareness and tolerance to uncertainty as indicators of socialization, as they most accurately actualize the modern transitive society in which the adolescent lives.
The purpose of this research was to investigating communication self-control, level of mindfulness, and tolerance of uncertainty as indicators of adolescents' off and online socialization.
The empirical methods used were: M. Snyder’s method of diagnostics of assessment of self-control in communication; a test for the level of awareness; a new questionnaire of tolerance-intolerance to uncertainty by T.V. Kornilova. The statistical processing of the obtained data was performed with the help of SPSS 26 program, using the nonparametric Mann-Whitney U-criterion and Pearson correlation coefficient r. The study involved 95 respondents (n = 95) aged 14 to 16 years, of whom 50 were studying in Moscow schools and 45 were in family education (online).
The results showed, that offline adolescents are not always self-controlled, show awareness and may have difficulty in accepting uncertainty, and are variable in interpersonal relationships. Adolescents who study online are more stable in behavior, more conscious, tolerant of uncertainty, variable in interpersonal relationships with others.
The research confirms that in the socialization process, learning format influences adolescents' self-control in communication, mindfulness, and uncertainty tolerance. Interpersonal intolerance to uncertainty is not conditioned by off and online-learning. Stability and static, dynamic and tolerance in relationships with others is significant for all adolescents depending on the situation.
