The research is devoted to the study of the features of the sphere of interpersonal relationships of players who prefer various genres of computer games. The sample used players of popular MMORPG and MOBA projects, as well as representatives of other genres, recruited through social networks by anonymous survey. The total sample size was 146 people. 142 respondents were admitted to the stage of statistical processing. The features of interpersonal relationships were revealed through three blocks: emotional, cognitive and behavioral. In the scheme of the study, the test of differential reflection by D.A. Leontiev, the test for the tendency to envy by Yu.V. Shcherbatykh in the modification of E.I. Ilyin, the Q-sorting by Stefanson and the Cook-Medley hostility scale in the adaptation by L.N. Sobchik were used. A comparative analysis of the psychological aspects of envy, a tendency to hostility and features of reflection is carried out on the example of MMORPG, MOBA players and those who prefer other genres. The main results were obtained in MMORPG subgroups, at the same time, some data on the specifics of MOBA players were obtained. The most interesting results include such as: significantly higher values on the scale of “Acceptance of struggle” in MOBA players, compared with MMO players, the greatest propensity for physical aggression in solo players who take 4 to 7 hours to play, greater sensitivity of female players to justice, greater severity hostility and cynicism among respondents aged 16–21 who play in a guild or a const party. To clarify the data obtained, a correlation analysis was additionally carried out within MMORPG and MOBA player groups, as well as for MMO subgroups: solo players, respondents playing in a const party or with a guild. A high density of connections between aspects of envy and hostility, self-image and differential reflection in the group of MMO players in general and in the subgroup of guild players in particular was revealed.
